Mitsubishi VS-5043 wont turn on

I just had a problem with my Mitsubishi 50 inch projection. When I hit the power button the green power indicator turns on and I here the TV powering up but then it shuts down after 2 seconds. I have had zero problems with this TV. I bought the TV in 11/96. I did unplug the TV and replug it in and still have the same problem. Any ideas?
