I understand that traditional home alarm services like Brinks and ADT run thru your home telephone system. We will not be replacing our land line once we move into our new home and will instead be using cell phones. Are their any alternatives available to us? I envision a system similar to a car alarm whereas it is an audible alarm if someone vandalizes say the windows, etc but no company monitors this (but rather annoyed neighbors =))).

Any suggestions appreciated.
