magnavox 50" dlp hdtv won't work

Model: 50ML8105D/17
Serial: AM1A0523000594
It was acting up for a few weeks, suddenly turning off out of the blue and now it comes on with the fan running no picture but sound for about a minute total until it shuts off. Took the back off, saw a spark of light and heard a buzz noise that lasted about 10 seconds when I first turned it on. Anyone know what's wrong with it and how much to fix it??
