| Have a similar problem to the many othe Phillips TV problems (especially the magnavox range) in that I turn it on - the picture comes on, but the colour/brightness is "turned up" and within a few minutes the set turns itself off. I don't get any lines or grey areas on the screen - at least not yet, but the set is on for maybe 1 minute before switching off.
I have checked the resistor mentioned in other posts - R3340. I turned the TV off/unplugged it and measured R3340 in situ and it measuring 10ohms. Is there another cause of the dreaded phantom turn off syndrome? I'm quite competant at soldering etc. but not too wonderful at diagnosis. Can anyone assist please. |
