weird format on word document

I don't know what I did or if I even did it, but when I open documents from e-mail any thing created in word (other than what I create myself) it comes up in a weird format.

I don't remember changing anything but I may have unknowingly. I have looked around to see if there is a re-formatting tab. I didn't find one but then again I don't know what I'm doing so if I did find one I may screw it up more.

Any computer guru's that care to help?
