We are building a new house and the best place for a tv is over the fireplace. The room is fairly large. Does anyone have this and how do you like it? Heat should not be a problem as it is a gas FP. Do you get tired of looking up all the time?

Get the tilt mount and tilt it down slightly.

We love our TV over gas fireplace. We built it into where the chimney would be about 9" above the mantle. It is on a pull out shelf and behind doors when not in use. Have not wanted to tilt. Doors are high enough don't have to move things off of the mantle to use TV. We vented gas fireplace out the back wall, not straight up. Hope this helps.
