Phillips model 32PT830H37A chasie EM1.1UAA

This TV is four years old and today the screen went out. The TV still has power, the red led light is on and there is still sound. Yesterday the screen was not as sharp as usual and then today it died. Has anyone experienced anything similiar or have any suggestions.

We have observed that the rather old trick of unplugging the power from the wall for a few hours occasionally works for some Phillips/Magnavox problems.

The thing about this trick is that it is free even if it does not work. Remember, unplug the power, don't just switch off a power strip.
