help with hitachi rear projection tv

I have a hitachi 60vg825 lcd rear projection
the picture was very dull/not bright which of course suggest bulb was on its way out, but the whole picture had a greenish grey hue to it
last night the lamp must have blown as the tv shut off and the lamp light came on solid, not flashing
what is wrong with this tv?
Obviously I need a new bulb which is ordered, but what about the greenish/grey hue?

It may be a power supply problem, or something else in the circuitry that controls the bulb, rather than the bulb itself.

If you are interested in fixing it, I would start by looking for burnt components on the boards, and swollen capacitors.
