Magnavox rear projection TV

I have a 52" Magnavox rear projection TV.

Model no. 51MP6100D/37 The thing is only 1 1/2 yrs old.

I have had it to two different repair shops and both want in the neighborhood of $600.oo to repair it.

The problem is that it will turn on and off by itself.

It only does this for a few seconds and then nothing.

I am really disappointed in Magnavox because they said it was over a year old and "NO GUARANTEE" Thats not a very good testimonial to the quality of their products. I will never buy another Magnovox product. Can you please help me with the problem?
