 o
tunerless VCR & old tv hook-up?

Hello,

I'm supposed to help someone hook up their new tunerless vcr/dvd combo. They want to record off of cable.

They have an old tv w/only the coaxial jack (no AV jacks), and direct cable (no cable box). Looking at the vcr model online, it appears that it only has coaxial output, no coaxial input. Is there some sort of converter or modulator I can use so can get the tv tuner signal to the vcr's composite, component, or s-video input jacks?

Any suggestions on how to make this happen -- other than purchasing a new tv (which would make life a whole lot easier).

You may have a DVD and VCR player and not a recorder.

Are you sure the VCR unit can actually record?

What brand and model number is the VCR unit?
