| We ran an HDMI from the computer to the Magnavox and got a fine picture but no audio. After several seconds, perhaps a minute the Magnavox goes blank and never again can we get an HD image.
Dish and Wii connections still work. The old DVD player still works. We never had any OTA TV. The computer says something like 'not connected'. What would you conjecture happened? Is the solution service more expensive than the value of the Magnavox? |

| Cable is a Philips HDMI 4x 1080+, 6ft. no wall plate. Laptop is an HP with Windows 7.x upgraded to the latest according to Microsoft. The laptop card is a NVIDIDA upgraded to the latest according to Microsoft. [Here it get a bit more confusing. NVIDIDA said there was a later upgrade but it will not work. The whole PC freezes. Have to uninstall and return to the latest according to MS.] We have tried to pass analog sound from the laptop to the TV. This will not work. [We can pass analog sound from the laptop to an old CD player while passing HD vidio to the TV.] The TV is a Magnavox 32MF23ID LCD TV. We found one software upgrade (32MF23ID/37)for that and it was installed. |

| If the HDMI output on the card or T.V is not 1.3 it will not pass sound through it.A 6' run should not cause any issues. |
