I have a Magnavox 32" TV that was making a loud squealing noise coming from inside the unit. It started getting louder and then the from of the tv actually popped like static was coming out of the front of the unit.

I turned it off, unplugged it and when I turned it back on I thought that the front of the was going to blow out with numerous pops and a lot of static.

Any idea and is this worth fixing?
