Pioneer Projection TV

Help...I know nothing about projection tvs except mine isnt working. I have a 60" pioneer sd-p6091-k. It was working fine last week, but now it will only turn on for approx 2-3 minutes, then shuts off. The volume gets louder and then the screen goes blank and it powers off. A red led turns on on the front panel and on a circuit board inside. For the few minutes it is on, everything is working fine - video and audio. Cycling the power has the same result, it will stay on for a couple minutes then shut off.. Anyone have any suggestions where to start? Could it be something simple??
thanks in advance.
