make 'picture' smaller on screen

Posted by ilmbg (My Page) on

My computer is not working 100%. I can use it if the screen/picture comes up in a smaller size- about 8x10". It has been coming up small routinely for awhile. Now it is coming up full size. I can't use the middle icon at the upper right habd part of the screen. That only makes it smaller by about 1/4 inch. How to make it much smaller, please!! Thanks.

RE: make 'picture' smaller on screen

Exit all programs.
Position your curser on a blank part of the screen, i.e. not on top of an icon.
Click the right button (right click) on your mouse.
Select "properties" from the list.
Select the "settings" tab.
Place your mouse curser on the resolution slide bar.
Depress and hold down your left mouse button.
Drag the slider to a higher resolution, for instance I have mine set at 1024 x 768.
