TV. Sound ok, No picture, no glow.

17" tv, AG brand.

Chassis model 40-MNTV2KM-L4W.

Sound is ok and it changes channels, etc. But NO picture.

I hear that 15kHz range sound and there is static in the screen.

Did a fast check and Supply voltages are apparently good.

Anode discharded to ground with spark, confirming that it was charged.

What could cause this?

Tomorrow I'll check the HOT to see if it's broken.

Since you have already determined, although not measured, anode cap voltage was present and some other voltages derived were present, I would not suspect the HOT.

Look for correct screen voltages to the CRT grids - usually around 160 volts - (could be related to HOT derived supply voltage rectification/filtering), proper blanking waveforms during the VBI, and any video blanking/muting circuits on the input side.

Don't know anything about the brand, chassis, or if it's NTSC or PAL - just standard troubleshooting on CRT displays.
