| I am getting my new HDTV tomorrow. I have a HD cable box/DVR combo and a DVD/Surround Sound combo. I have looked at the manuals for each and I can't decifer a coherent way to hook up all three together.
I think I have to put the cable in to the cable box (obviously), HDMI cable from the cable box to the TV, the red and white audio cable from the cable box output to the DVD/Surround Sound input and the red/green/blue component cable (DVD player doesn't have HDMI connection) from the DVD output to the TV input. Does this sound right? Thanks! |

| Basically, yes. Check to see if your components have digital optical audio connections; this will enable digital surround sound. -Hal |
