| I recently purchased the 32 inch TV that had bad color on one small side of the screen due to a fall, according to the previous owner. I got it home and everything worked great, with the exception of the 2 inch ellipse of color distortion on the left side of the TV. I had heard that this problem could likely be caused by moved alignment magnets and I may be able to fix it myself, so off I went ...
While attempting to take the TV cover off, I forgot to take out the 2 screws that are on the cover plate for the TV inputs, and put some pressure on the board when attempting to remove the cover. I looked around inside the TV and saw nothing glaringly wrong with it, so I put the cover back on without moving too many things. Now, when I power on the TV, there is just a bright white horizontal line for about 3 seconds, then the TV powers back down. Any ideas on what to do to fix this, or at least diagnose it? |
