| I have a 32" Sony Bravia that's a year old. When I turn up the volume, the sound isn't as loud as it should be. I also hear a hissing sound. Is it a TV problem, or a cable box problem? Would it help if I rebooted the cable box? |

| hissing may be blown speakers. or it could just be that you are watching a digital channel, i have noticed that the digital channels in my area are lower volume than the analog ones. for example, i prefer to watch analog with my surround sound set at 50, but if i swap to the digital channel for the SAME STATION i have to turn it up to 68 jsut to get the same volume level. |
