OTA, I'm Back

I got rid of cable and now am using a converterbox with an indoor antenna. I hooked it up this way....Ant in>Box...Box out to TV IN...vcr rca out to the box rca inputs... and I am not completely satisfied and hope someone who has the same type of setup, might enlighten me a better way. The setup i did works...BUT, in order to get some channels, I have to have the TV, Conv.Box and VCR on. That is the part I don't like. With just the TV on i am limited to channels. I found with the Box on i can get a lot more channels, but I also have the VCR on at the same time and make my chnl changes with the Box remote. BTW, I did channel autoscan mainly with the converterbox. It does not seem to improve doing the autoscan with the TV, nor VCR.
