RE: whats up friend my gosh darn t.v. is malfun

how is it hooked up? if you are using RCA cables it could be as simple as the yellow connector came unplugged. to see if it is the tv itself, simply mash the volume or channel buttons, if they display on teh screen it is a problem with getting the video to the tv, if they do not then likely the tv has no high voltage or the tube is shot. either of the last 2 cases it is not worth the cost of repair. you can get a better tv for what it would cost to fix this one.

my old phillips tv did this same thing after about 12 years. i brought it to work and the checked it(i work on electronics) and the HV power supply was shot. i just tossed it in teh dumpster.
