Did some of the network programs on satellite just get wider? The ratings thing on new episodes of Law and Order and ER are about half off the left side of my screen but the ratings thing on the old syndicated programs on another channel are still tucked neatly where they have always been within the left hand margin of the screen.

i have noticed the same thing on my directv. i have regular service and a new HDTV for now. in the last couple weeks all of a sudden the left side does seem to run off screen, even the screen saver for when i pause the tivo does it. it does not do this on any other regular tv n the house though.

OK, if both Direct and Dish are running some things off the left side of the screen what adjustment can we make, if any?

It is getting curiouser and curiouser. a new SVU was too wide for the first half of the show and fit the screen the second half. I am just going to wait, not do anything.
