Hookup question

I hope someone can answer this question for me.

I have a 40" Sony HDTV, a Sony Blu-ray DVD player, and a Samsung Surround Bar.

How do I hook up everything correctly to get the maximum viewing/listening experience?

I want to be able to hear the sound from the TV and the DVD come out of the surround bar.

I'm technologically challenged and get intimidated by all the cables, so any help is appreciated.

RE: Hookup question

You need to connect all the sound OUTPUT connections from the DVD and HDTV to the Samsung Surround Bar. You can either get all component, composite or to get "best" audio and video(as was meant to be) use HDMI.
You do not need to buy the most expensive HDMI cables as they essentially all do the same thing with no change.
