Looking for long range cordless

Posted by kitchenshock (My Page) on

I am in search of a cordless phone/headset that can work well at 150' to 200' from the base. My job (I work from home) requires me to attend many meetings and presentations that can last 4hours or more. So battery life is inportant as well. I want to be able to walk around my house and parts of my yard while on the phone. I purchased the GN9300 head set that uses DECT6 and found it to be pathetic. It drops off at about 125' and gets a ton of static at 90' if you don't stand still. Anyhow, I am sending it back today. I have no problem paying up to $500 for a phone/headset that can do this. Any ideas?

Maybe look at enGenius handset with option of a headset. Then do some price shopping.

Range depends upon the environment, but below are some guidelines:

1) 12 floors in building penetration
2) 250,000 sq. ft. in a warehouse or retail store
3) 3,000 acres on a farm or ranch
