Totally depends on who uses the bathroom and how often. For a powder room or guest bath -- I would go with the fussier marble (have you seen Mrs. Limestone's marble and jade basketweave floor? WOW). For an everyday use bathroom where there will be people using things like makeup, hairspray, lotions, nail polish, nail polish removers, shampoos, peroxide of any kind (be it for zits hair or booboos) or hydroxy type acid solutions, I would go with the porcelein. But, we're messy people and I can't guarantee at any given time that the 1 year old hasn't just flushed his sister's favorite barbie's shoe down the toilet, that the 4 year old hasn't just decided to play beauty salon and poured an entire bottle of shampoo in the sink to "wash" her dolls' hair, that DH hasn't accidentally left the peroxide within a stool's reach of the ne'er-do-well toddlers that rule our roost, or that the dog hasn't dug through the garbage and decided to chew up something I'd rather not have on the floor...

Reorganization mission: accomplished. Before I forget though I want to comment to ideefixe: I don't want to limit her reading by any means however, a lot of the junk is old old old and baby/toddler books. We jumped that hurdle first though by donating the baby books to friends and handing down the toddler books to her little brother/my son. She still has four shelves full of age appropriate books and she kept the books that were special to her like nursery rhyme books that are signed by grandparents etc. I did most of the reorganizing without her. She started helping and became overwhelmed and asked me to just do it for her. She has three decorative buckets that were full of 'stuff' I asked her to go to another room to sort through them and she can back with two empty buckets and one 1/2 full of what she wanted to keep. We went through her jewelry and threw away what didn't have a match or what was really old. We made a necklace hanger and hung up all of her necklaces and a bow hanger for all of her hair bows and moved ALL of her other hair accessories to a 'handmade' box As suggested by jlt above and put clippies and bands Into baggies so their easier to find. Took pictures of her most recent 'box' collection and she threw them away herself. I let her keep a box she had used to make a 'puppet' show stage but we found a place in her closet. I cleaned out he clothes of what she can't wear and organized them as I normally do. We didn't get rid of any stuffed animals, she organized them in a large tote in her closet and what appeared to be just a huge stack of junk wa a bunch of hand-me-down purses from grandma. We bought a tote to store all of the purses and she can get them out if she wants but the new rule is, they have to be put away when she is done. Organized her baby doll stuff and ended up with one large basket and one tote with a lid and I'm happy with that. Organized her game/movie collection on a freed up shelf on her book case and that made her tv stand look so much better. Her desk is cleaned off minus her lamp and laptop. Bought her a HUGE pencil box for her pens and pencils to keep on her desk. Got her a three drawer rolling cart for all of her art supplies and crafty stuff and threw away the boxes some of the stuff came in. It looks fabulous!! We hung up several of her art pieces and put all the others in an under the bed tote. Even got one for my son. She is Proud of her 'art collection' box. Thanks for all of the ideas. I was able to vacuum without Moving anything. The floor is cleaned up and everything is where is should be. She said she feels so much better and is so proud of her room. It's only day 1 so we'll see how long it lasts... But I think she is so proud it will stay organized for a while. I am a bit OCD ... And I don't want to push that off on her. As I do respect that she is very much an artist and understand that artists are cluttered and unorganized just not in their own minds. But I think everyone works better when they can see their desk... And surely they sleep better when they can find their bed...

Yes, I agree with the comments about the bratz dolls. They are aweful. What's wrong with a lovely little baby doll, that is cute and cuddly, I loved buying those dolls when my daugher was little ! It was like reliving my childhood. There was "big bubbie" and that was the first one. Then I remember one Christmas, I bought this huge doll that was as tall as my DD! She loved it, and it walked, well thats what it said on the box ! Its wonderful being blessed with a girl, isn't it ? Popi

I've noticed a big decline in the kinds of things I am interested in on ebay over the past several years. I joined in 1998 or so and regularly bought and sold for years. I loved the whole "worldwide garage sale" concept - it was like heaven to me. I bought everything from furniture (my bed! a huge armoire!) to antiques to you-name-it. I also turned around and sold stuff that I bought at yard sales and flea markets that didn't work out like I had planned. I was also selling my kids outgrown clothing there for a while and making a ton of money off it. But ever since they bought paypal and jacked up the fees maybe 3 years ago, I stopped selling on ebay - it's simply not worth it to me -- the time it takes to photograph and list the items, the hassle of shipping, the risk of bad feedback, and the huge cut that ebay takes -- for an item that sells for just a couple dollars, it doesn't make sense. And I'm guessing that a lot of small sellers feel the same way, which is why there's been such a decline in the number of "flea-markety" unique vintage items. I rarely bother to even look there anymore, as if I do find something I like the price and/or shipping charge is going to be jacked up to cover the fees. It's such a shame, because ebay was such a guilty pleasure for me for so many years, and I do miss it a lot. Now that I've said that, I will admit that I've been on an ebay binge this week (after not buying anything there for probably a year!). My son wants a specific list of discontinued Thomas wooden trains for his 6th birthday next week and ebay is still my only resource to find stuff like that. So I guess it's still good for certain things. Also, I have accumulated a few things that I think I may want to sell on ebay -- I don't think CL will be the best market for them -- they're esoteric collectibles (again, Thomas train related) that will probably go for more money if I find the right buyer, and the odds of that buyer being located here and reading my Craigslist are probably pretty slim. So can someone explain to me how the changes made to the feedback can hurt sellers? Is it true that sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers anymore? How is that even possible? How do you keep people from scamming you????
