Lisa is wonderfull!!!!!! Pumpkingal' (aka Lisa) adopted me, a newbie, and has sent me the a solid packed bubble envy full of seeds! Reorganization mission: accomplished. Before I forget though I want to comment to ideefixe: I don't want to limit her reading by any means however, a lot of the junk is old old old and baby/toddler books. We jumped that hurdle first though by donating the baby books to friends and handing down the toddler books to her little brother/my son. She still has four shelves full of age appropriate books and she kept the books that were special to her like nursery rhyme books that are signed by grandparents etc. I did most of the reorganizing without her. She started helping and became overwhelmed and asked me to just do it for her. She has three decorative buckets that were full of 'stuff' I asked her to go to another room to sort through them and she can back with two empty buckets and one 1/2 full of what she wanted to keep. We went through her jewelry and threw away what didn't have a match or what was really old. We made a necklace hanger and hung up all of her necklaces and a bow hanger for all of her hair bows and moved ALL of her other hair accessories to a 'handmade' box As suggested by jlt above and put clippies and bands Into baggies so their easier to find. Took pictures of her most recent 'box' collection and she threw them away herself. I let her keep a box she had used to make a 'puppet' show stage but we found a place in her closet. I cleaned out he clothes of what she can't wear and organized them as I normally do. We didn't get rid of any stuffed animals, she organized them in a large tote in her closet and what appeared to be just a huge stack of junk wa a bunch of hand-me-down purses from grandma. We bought a tote to store all of the purses and she can get them out if she wants but the new rule is, they have to be put away when she is done. Organized her baby doll stuff and ended up with one large basket and one tote with a lid and I'm happy with that. Organized her game/movie collection on a freed up shelf on her book case and that made her tv stand look so much better. Her desk is cleaned off minus her lamp and laptop. Bought her a HUGE pencil box for her pens and pencils to keep on her desk. Got her a three drawer rolling cart for all of her art supplies and crafty stuff and threw away the boxes some of the stuff came in. It looks fabulous!! We hung up several of her art pieces and put all the others in an under the bed tote. Even got one for my son. She is Proud of her 'art collection' box. Thanks for all of the ideas. I was able to vacuum without Moving anything. The floor is cleaned up and everything is where is should be. She said she feels so much better and is so proud of her room. It's only day 1 so we'll see how long it lasts... But I think she is so proud it will stay organized for a while. I am a bit OCD ... And I don't want to push that off on her. As I do respect that she is very much an artist and understand that artists are cluttered and unorganized just not in their own minds. But I think everyone works better when they can see their desk... And surely they sleep better when they can find their bed...

sylvia, my first impression of her when I first met her was that she may have been abused in some way sexually. Her current counselor has explored it but if she was, she won't open up about it or she may have no memory of it. The only thing she has said is that she saw her mom & BF and we don't know if it was once or on a regular basis. It's funny you mention that come hither poses, when we took her on a cruise last year, we wanted to take a little video of her when we were walking back to the ship. She got up on a large rock and started posing like she was doing a magazine spread. If we are out and about, she practically gives herself whiplash if an older boy walks by (and stares). She has gotten better because we are constantly telling her what is not acceptable, but if she thinks nobody is looking, she does it anyway. Like I said, she's had a few friends' mom's call me and tell me to keep her away from their daughters. It has gotten better but we worry when she hits puberty, she'll get out of control. That is also why I'm concerned about her older sister that is home alone with a computer (on myspace). IF SD was abused, it could likely mean her older sister was too (and at the very least, may have witnessed mom & BF). Not to mention that she may be having a difficult time dealing with her mom leaving her too. We don't know what other men have been around them. BM was dating a guy long distance for about five years but was seeing other guys from the tae kwon do studio where she took lessons with her girls. BM broke up with her long distance BF (the one that was sleeping over) right after we got married. In the year that followed, BM had a different new BF about every two or three weeks. We couldn't keep track of them. She went to Texas ten days before the court trial. When she left, she was seeing one guy. When she came back (the day before court) she had broken up with him and went on a date with a different one the day of court. Three weeks later, she met another new BF. She moved in with this new BF and that's who she's with now.

This is a person blurring reality and her "collection" You don't have to be quite (finger to lips shhhh) if they're dolls. Bread, wine bottles and grapes are not exclusive to vinyards. In fact I have all three here in my little rental hovel and normally have all three in my own home, and we don't grow grapes. We have friends who do own a vinyard, and gosh darn it, they have the same three items in their home. Now to blur reality with fantasy you would need to offer your guess a slice of plastic bread, or maybe sniff the air and wax poetic over the scent of the plastic bread, but just having it sit around isn't blurring reality. Much like doll collectors who have dolls on display. They are enjoying the beauty of the dolls. If they then take them down and have a tea party with them (and they're over the age of say 12) they're having some issues with reality. Now off subject...Organic...DANG YOU!!! Did you beat me to something? :oP I have two of the lovely chocolate ribbed coverlets for my master bedroom. I love them...but must admit, the cats do too and they're getting furry :( I'm going to have to buy something else (but it will be seffra! cuz you've ruined me for anything else).
