New member - cloth doll patterns

Posted by VWbrownthumb (My Page) on

Hi all, I'm Virginia, new to this forum. I have been making dolls for years and years, different types. Not many of the baby-doll variety, more character-type. As has my mom and two daughters.

I confess, I joined this group with a hope - to find someone who can use some of the many, many patterns that have accumulated over the years. Most of these are copies that I have traded with other doll makers from all sorts of clubs and friends, etc. I started to make a list, but it was just too long to post.

Anyone interested? Let me know what kind of doll you're looking for ...

Hi Virginia, I too make dolls. I enjoy doing one-of-a-kind dolls. I make a lot of my own patterns. I once made E. T. for a woman I worked with. I'll have to say he turned out really well. (complete with the red finger-tip ;c) I only wish I had taken a picture. I am showing you a picture of some purse babies I created years ago.

VWbrownthumb: Do you also have patterns for clothing for dolls? I plan to make 8"-10" dolls with the wire bodies bound in soft covering, but have no clothing patterns. Thanks for any help.
