Hi B. Dolls of a given height are rearely the same body shape. An 18 inch doll can be baby, toddler, child, teen or adult (lady) Each of these body shapes vary dramatically. I suggest that you buy the doll you thing your grandaughter would like and draft directly from the doll. Basic patterns can easily be tizzed with a bit of lace and gathering. Simplicity and McCall's used to carry patterns for cloth dolls, as well as separate clothing pieces. Best bet is to check their 'big' catalogs. Wal-Mart and JoAnn's have the catalogs. Both pattern companies have websites, but doubt that they'd show everything they carry on-line. Good luck.

Hi there! I'm not sure if you want this type of pattern, and believe me they are old, it says DOLLS of the AMERICAS. Most are full length, Miss New Orleans, Crinoline Sweetheart, Prairie Rose, Gypsy girl, Miss Rio, well, you get the drift. Miss West Indies is very pretty. One is called Party Girl, it's an 8" doll, very ruffly, short dress, like a school party dress. I'm not too sure how well they will scan, but, if you think you can use them, let me know. carroly
