Thanks for the info on dryer lint. I never used it but I might have thought it was a good idea. The birds DO love dog hair though. Glad to hear it's ok. I put it out on the grass and on the deck as well as in a loose yarn bag near the bird feeder. I always wondered if the nestlings will ever think of my dog as "Mom"? Would be funny if one of them ever landed on my dog when she was outside sleeping. Seems like it could happen :-)

Hi there, cejay! I am in Florida - but don't know what area you are in. I am in the Ft Myers Beach area. I make charity quilts for a children's hospital. Last year I focussd on preemies and made eleven. This year I want to make more for older kids. If we are near to each other, and you still have the fabric, I would love to have it and would put it to very good use. Marilyn

Sue, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Lemonbasil, your little birds are very sweet. Do you string them together to make the garland? As for the stash busting - the Propellor quilt I just finished was made totally from my stash, mostly scraps. I’m now working on a quilt that uses the leftover toile from a quilt I finished in December. Because the blocks were cut on the bias, I had a ton of scrap pieces.
