Can the color of doll hair be changed?

Posted by MonicaTX (My Page) on

Hi: I rehab used dolls for charity and most of the dolls I find at garage sales, etc. have blond hair. Most of my dolls go to a native american public school in the west, therefore I would prefer brown or black hair. Can doll hair be colored? If so, how?

It is really hard, not worth doing, you can try dyeing, but it won't take, you can try rerooting, but that takes so many hours, and only an expert can do it. Search on customizing barbie dolls, and you will find tons of how to sites.

I have numerous My Size Barbies and I have used regular hair dye to dye the dolls...It is never as dark as the picture but I get pretty good results....
