Thank you so much for responding. Yes, I am in Northern California (Bay Area, south of SF). I'd love to stay under $8-9 sq/ft (everything costs more here), but if I found a quality floor that works with my paint, I'd be willing to go higher. I've been pretty picky because almost all of the samples I've tried appear pink or yellow as the light changes. Do you have any non-private label brands you could recommend? Thank you in advance!

I always liked "three bricks shy of a load" referring to someone who is not too bright. It was also the title of a book about the Pittsburgh Steelers football team back in the 1970's shortly before they came to NFL dominance for much of the next decade. I'm not a sports fan, but anyone who lived in Pittsburgh absorbs these things by osmosis. I haven't lived there in decaces, and yes it does fade with the passage of time.

@Jilly For me, there is so much to love about this space. I am totally intrigued by the wall color and bed color combo, the fireplace surround, and the hanging black lights. Are those lights? I don't think I would change a thing. The room is huge! I need to see more of this home. Now I want to copy it in my bedroom.

I'm also looking at the Shaw Castlewood Oak line. Did you make a final decision regarding your project? Thanks!
