Help! What should we do with wet crawl space?

We accidently overflowed a sink in the laundry room causing the floor to be flooded and run into the crawl space under the laundry room. Our main concern is what to do with the crawl space now. The crawl space is sand fully lined with plastic. So now we have water under the plastic as well as some moisture on top of the the plastic. We used big towel and removed the excess water from the top of the plastic. However we are wondering if we should pull the plastic back to dry the sand underneath or leave it in place.

Help!

the sand will dry. put a fan under there and turn it on high for a couple days. if you can pull some of the plastic back, that will help.

Fans do a great job of drying wet areas.
