Water softener problem

Posted by lkerbesh (My Page) on

Our water softener drains in a furnace room next to a small bathroom. The salt around the drain is corroding the concrete floor and now salt is comining up on the lower wall in the bathroom through the primer and paint. What's happening? Is there any way to protect the surrounding area or what are we doing wrong. Thanks for any suggestions. Lkerbesh

RE: Water softener problem

I would try and get the drain line from the WS into the drain better. It sounds like it is splashing up.
