garlic odor in fridge

I had a large box of garlic bread in my freezer. While I was away from home, there was a power outage and the bread defrosted leaving a garlic smell in the freezer. I wiped the freezer with soap and water and put baking soda in but the smell persists and now it has seeped down to the fridge. When I open the fridge door I smell garlic. What can I do??

I've never tried this in the fridge, but used coffee grounds left out in a dish will absorb odors. That's bailed me out more than once. Brew a pot of coffee as usual, then just take the filter out and leave the grounds (filter and all) on a plate in the fridge for several hours and see how that works out.

Wash interior of fridge with bleach/water solution. Coffee grounds, baking soda, and activated charcoal from the pet store are frequently recommended for absorbing odors.

along with the other suggestions. After you have cleaned, with whatever you decide to clean with, rub down the entire surface with vinegar. Good Luck!!!!!!
