deceased furnace

my furnace is dead, and because it is over 30 yrs old, looks like the whole thing, including new stack will need to be replaced. anyone have any advice on propane furnaces? brands, things to watch out for, etc?

I would suggest posting at the heating and a/c forum at garden web (see link below.) lots of knowledgeable folks over there who will be able to offer an opinion.

i actually did post over there. they are giving me techincal specs, and i was hoping for more "i wish i knew then what i know now about the whole process" from non-technical folks over here :)

sorry! I thought someone over there could steer you in the right directions as far as brands etc. I'm with you, I don't want technicalities, just tell me what to (or not) buy.

Repost "over there", and ask a specific question. The disaster will be all the expense and getting rid of the old one.
