Is anyone eating the Rice Diet? The diet was developed in 1939 by a medical doctor. It's reported that men lose an average of 30 lbs. and women an average of 19 lbs. during the first 4 weeks.

I have tried the Rice Diet before. It is very restrictive. I did lose lots of weight on it but I also starved myself while doing it. I didn't find it to be a particularly healthy diet. If you are going to try it, just remember that your health is more important that the weight that you are trying to lose. :P)

Yankandtex, thanks for your input. How long did you stay on the diet? Its reported to be good for hypertension, heart disease, etc.

I did the diet for about a month when I was in my 20's. I lost weight quickly, but my nails started to turn yellow, so I quit. I'd suggest taking vitamins if you are going to try this diet.

Sorry that I did not answer sooner, I have been MIA for about 3 weeks. I was on the diet for several months. It did work but I definitely did not eat healthy while I followed it. If you try it, please don't fall into the trap that I did. I was in my young 20s too.
