Hey Kate how are you doing? So nice to hear from you? How's the bath coming along? I got my tile in and was working on getting the cabinet made and darn if that thick green glass sink that I have never used is having issues with the glue they used. It's turning yellow! Ahhh can't believe it! The whole room was decorated around this sink! Anyway can I ask why / what was wrong with the diet wasit the amount of food? Did you give it enough time? I just started drops today and I was suppose to eat eat eat but I just can't do that. I ate some different stuff but I don't think I ate any extra. if I could dump 70 lbs I would be very happy. I figure with the diabetes I will make that my first priorty. I will eat more then the 500 if needed and check my sugar often. I am really hoping that I can get out of this diabetic state. At least that's my plan I asked the head of the physians practice about a year ago and he didn't endorse it said was not safe I replied neither is diabetes & HBP I would love to know more of what your dr had to say and your thoughts on the matter. I'm a first time HCG dieter, on day 18 of the VLCD. I started at 173 pounds. Today I'm 158 pounds. I'm going to stop taking the HCG at the end of the month or when I get back to 150, whichever comes first. I've been 150 most of my adult life, but I gained weight last year after my father died. I went into a depression, stopped exercising, and stopped caring about eating a balanced diet. For the long term, I feel confident that I'll fall back into my old habits of good nutrition and regular exercise, but I was wondering about the transition of going from 500 calories to a more reasonable caloric intake of a healthy active adult. I'm 5'8", 36 years old, with no health problems. What's everyone eating during the 3 weeks immediately following the VLCD? Dr. Simeon's book says you can eat anything except sugar and starch, but I'm worried about putting the weight back on if I eat too much right away. I also wanted to add my impression of the diet so far as an objective first-timer. Before starting the diet, I was seriously skeptical when reading all the claims on various forums. Now that I've experienced it for myself, I'd like to thank everyone for sharing their great experiences. I probably wouldn't have tried HCG if I hadn't found numerous positive experiences on countless threads. If you're reading this and still wondering if HCG actually works, I can tell you it's worked great for me. I'm not hungry, and I've had no problem staying on the diet. My disabled mother lives with me and regularly bakes fatty, sugary concoctions. I'm surprised to say that it's been easy to turn away from the cakes, pastries, casseroles, and fried foods. I'm not sure why. I've had no cravings after the first four days. I'm so excited to get the weight off, that I probably wouldn't cheat even if I had the cravings. What you should do is not do this diet as it has severe risks associated with it. Rather focus on getting healthy by eating no les than 1200 calories a day. Eat wholesome, healthy foods including lots of vegetables. Exercise daily and you will be healthier and fitter.
