| Good Monday evening! It has taken me forever to find my password so that I could log back in here.
I can't believe I'm the one to start the thread for this week. I've missed everyone, and I'll read and come back in the morning to talk to everyone! |

| Good Tuesday all, Milkdud, thanks for getting us started. I hope you are doing well. I am thinking of you. Not much new here, have been enjoying this unusually lovely November weather! Today is dreary but I think I can get a ride in before the rain comes. I can hardly believe it's November 16th! Time sure is whizzing right by! Hope everyone has a chance to check in this week. |

| Good morning, Suzanne and everyone! It's another gloomy day here in SE Texas, 55 d., with a high in the high 60's later, and another rainy day. Donna, what a shame about the water damage. So happy to hear that your beautiful new kitchen is alright though. Maddie, how's nursing school going? Hubby's daughter graduates as an RN in mid-December. Nursing is one of the best professions, and I am happy that you're going to be part of that! I'm up early because hubby left for an overnight business trip and wasn't particularly quiet about his packing. I had eaten spicy shrimp for dinner last night, and my tummy was begging for coffee to somehow offset that, so here I am. :) Suzanne, I hope you enjoyed a good ride. We now have 2 dogs living under our roof. H took in an old dog belonging to a friend who was going to have her put to sleep because he couldn't take her with him when he moved away to take a new job. She's Lucky's age, but a big black Lab/Chow mix and rather arthritic and couldn't handle the steps where our friend will now live. She's a sweet thing, and her name is Gracie. I'm already in love with her, and I get sad thinking about now leaving 2 sweet dogs in a little over 2 weeks. Still slowly losing weight in spite of the almost daily farewell lunches out with friends. I usually bring home the leftovers and manage to fill them out enough for a nice dinner for two. Hope more people check in today. You know it's slow around here when someone like me who hasn't posted in weeks has to start the thread late on the first day of the new week! |

| Happy Hump Day, everyone! It's 54 d. here and sunny, with a high of 74 later today. A gorgeous day so far! Last dermatologist visit this morning. I'm down to 2+ weeks until my move, and winding up all my medical visits, etc. Still having farewell lunches with friends, but I manage to eat lightly and even bring home leftovers for dinner! My clothes are looser, and now I have my choice of what to wear whenever. It's a great feeling! Missing everyone checking in. Is this the slowest week ever here? Sure seems like it. I hope everyone's doing well and just too busy to post. Wonderful Wednesday wishes to all! |

| It's amazingly slow here! Happy WEDNESDAY! I have been really under the gun with professional and personal work, but hope to get it all in check for the Thanksgiving break. My cardio visit is Friday, and I'm so looking forward to spilling my guts and my meds list with her. Maybe it's nothing, but I am gaining weight almost every week! This is just too much. ZUMBA is still so much fun. I'm going on Monday nights and on Saturday mornings. Over the next week or so, I'm going to be joining a Wednesday evening class if I can find the time to get out of this office early enough. ZUMBA ROCKS!!! Gotta run; |

| Hey! Where is everyone? Check in.....busy times! |
|
| Good Friday all, Been a busy week. Two hens in sick bay (lost one) and Sweet Pea is having a mild relapse which is very difficult to take. Poor girl - we just have to get to the bottom of this I can't bear to see her in discomfort. All I can say is thank God that I can be home to care for everyone. Sweet Pea and I are taking daily walks which is good for both of us and I am getting riding in on Casey which is also good for both of us. Dee I hope you have a good cardio visit. Milkdud, I am a little confused. You are still living with your soon to be ex-husband? Sorry if I have missed something. Tikanis, it is still fall on the calendar but foliage is long gone and the trees are bare. I will try to dig out some fun fall photos for you soon. I would have better luck finding winter photos though!! LOL Okay, now that I have checked in I have to ask WHERE IS EVERYONE??? |

| Good Friday morning! It's cool here (50 F.), but it was 39 when I got out of bed, and it was so cold in this house because our heater is on the fritz. The repairman is coming out at noon to fix things, I hope! Suzanne, I'm staying at the house until the divorce is final, 2 weeks from today, then I'll be moving up to Dallas the next morning. We're peacefully co-existing now, and that makes things so much easier. Dee, how worrisome for you that you're gaining weight. Hope you learn worthwhile info from your doc! I've got the questionnaire halfway filled out, but the days are overly full of farewell lunches and this and that for the move. I promise to get to it eventually. I am opting out of the ornament exchange this year because my life is too hectic to remember to do it, or if I were to do it, I'd probably misplace everything when it's time to mail. Lunch at Olive Garden today - the soup and salad. YUM! We did the refinancing yesterday, and it went well. H is being a good guy about having to do this. Wishing everyone a wonderful Friday and a beautiful weekend! |

| Happy Friday to all. I was glad NH Suzanne asked about you Milkdud b/c I, too, was confused. Glad that you are PEACEFULLY co-existing though. Makes things SO much easier. :( about leaving both dogs behind. NH Suzanne~Can't wait to see your fall pics. Dee~I haven't tried Zumba yet & I'm not physically fit but I want to try it & at least do it as long as I can & work up to being able to do it the entire hour? Is that how long it is. Would they allow someone to do it like that? I hope you get the cardiac problems straightened out. Tikanis~Is it the white Rabbit you are sounding like right now? LOL I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date, no time to wait, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late... I forget the characters so I have to get myself updated but you know I'm teasing you anyway. BJ~You need to pop your head in. Let us know how the 22nd went for you. I haven't checked last week's thread after we left though so perhaps you have already said. Maddie~When do you get time off for Thanksgiving? Hope the rest of the MIAs have a chance to pop in. |

| TGIF! Well, I could use some encouraging HUGS. Worked myself up to extremely high blood pressure readings by the time I got to the cardiologist. THe nurse did an EKG and the new doc told me it was not normal and there was evidence of an "old heart attack"!! What? She asked me 100 questions, and the bottom line is I can still go to Zumba tomorrow morning; and I"m scheduled for an echo and stress test in her office on December 3. She did not seem overly worried, but that could have been because of the look on my face. AFter she told me that news, she took my pressure again...I think you can all guess what THAT number looked like. Trying to calm myself by telling myself I know several people walking around who have had heart attacks, but I'm home alone and really stressing. Called DH and he told me to put on a chick channel on the TV and relax with a cup of herbal tea. Will try to get to that soon...maybe take a nap. The one thing I will NOT do this afternoon is take my BP with my home cuff right now. Thanks for letting me vent.......... |
|
| (((DeeMarie))) - DH is right, sit back with a cup of tea and just veg out for awhile. I'm sending lots of hugs your way!!! My last living aunt died yesterday. She was 93 and in a nursing home. She hated it there and had told my mother that she was tired and ready for it to be over. Her heart just gave out they said. Now my parents are the only aunt and uncle left for my cousins. Kind of makes me sad. Count me in for the ornament exchange. Marci |

| [[[[[[[[[[[Marci]]]]]] So sorry about the loss of your aunt. One of my best friends had a grandmother who kept telling her that she was ready to leave this world. She was about your aunt's age and kept repeating that she was tired. I know how you feel, I have no one left on my mom's side; she was one of 7 children. Keep the good memories. Well, BP was normal all day; average 120/80...of course!! Took ZUMBA this morning with no problems, so I hope that we can get a clear picture of why that EKG looked abnormal. If my heart is broken, we just need to fix it!!!!! Enjoy your weekend everyone! |

| (((((Marci)))) I am so sorry. I am anxious to see my only aunt at Thanksgiving. She is 85 and has lost most of her sight. Dee - (((((HUGS)))))Stop scaring us like that. That is so strange, but I am glad that your BP has been fine since and it didn't stop you from Zumba. Suzanne - (((((HUGS))))) to you too. I am very sad to hear about SP and your hens. There is a good reason you are home right now, your babies need you. Milkdud - positive thoughts coming to you for a smooth transition. I am posting a link to the Girlfriends Getaway in May. I am still waiting on some workshop descriptions and bios, but you will get a good idea what we have going on. I haven't gotten a confirmation for kayaking, but if that doesn't happen, I have something else fun up my sleeve... |
