I for one do not believe in diets. You can loose weight by eating a well balanced diet. Set a smaller plate on the table. Just simply cut down on what you eat and continue the walking. You know to avoid fried foods and things with lots of sugar. Especially soft drinks, they are loaded with sugar. Figure how many calories you need to loose and stick to it. Treat yourself once a week to something you really like, for instance 1 scoop of ice cream. Try it, you truly don't have to starve to loose weight, the longer you take to get the weight off, the more chance you have to keep it off.

I've been pondering this still, and had a friend come over to take a look. We think that maybe, just maybe, it might not look so weird to have the countertop stick out beyond the pantry cabinet. Here's a photo of girlwithaspirin's kitchen, that was universally agreed to be a fabulous transformation back in 2008. If you look closely at the end of her cabinet run, it looks like her cabinets and countertop may stick out 5 or so inches past the wall. I think this is a pretty good approximation of what mine like look like. How much would this bug you?

probably 15 years or more, I was listening to talk radio. He was a Dr. and had more old fashioned recipes. for example, take cod liver oil caps everyday, and when ypu strt getting on in age, your bones wont be brittle.. ok...He lived in KY and always gave his phone # out over the radio.. It seemed I was always on an interstate and never got it down exactly. .he had a juice drink, that he concocked that was for better health.and loose some weight, I made a gallon every week, and could see it was some detoxing.it had cider vinger cramberry juice apple juice grape juice and i can't remember what else. nor the proprotions. just wondering if anyone has the recipe////////

I don't have many options for diet ginger ale but I've always liked ginger ale and when I wanted to avoid sugar, I'd buy diet and I was fine with it. I'm not all that fussy when it comes to soft drinks. I did like the flavored carbonated waters but there to FAS set in and it has to have sugar and sweeteners in it. Good grief can't these people even drink WATER without sugar and salt in it??? Crystal lite has such a metallic taste that I can't drink it very often. I'll take Kool Aid over it. I do drink a lot of the green tea from Aldi which is fine for the price though I don't really need the extra stuff in there. I prefer things less sweetened than the FAS folks require these days. Trying to find unsweetened tea is difficult. I like a lot of lemon (preferably lime if there were a choice) but keep the sweeteners out of there. I usually choose what they call "diet" soft drinks when I have to drink them, and if given a choice. I used to prefer Bubble-Up to 7Up but don't see it anymore. I like Diet Dr. Pepper, Diet Root Beer, well for the most part any diet drink is drinkable to me though still over-sweetened in my book. Occasionally I do savor a "real" root beer or cream soda. Not too often though. Water is still a beverage of choice around here. Spring water when I have the choice. Oh and once in a great while, even Tang! It's what the astronauts used to drink... :)
