Hello!! Sorry I was not on earlier, we were changing over FINALLY to DSL so we were down for a bit. Per DD's instructions we as in DH and myself were not allowed to touch the machine only she could convert us. To be fair that is because we or I should say that DH got it go goofed last time that we ended up back on dial up:(

I had a good day today, I think I am back on track from some bad stress eating:) I am doing the Flex Plan this week so as to get myself back together before I leave for vacation. Vacationing is dangerous for dieters right:) I had a good day today and stayed right on program:)

Feeling better today...no exercise since last Friday....being sick, it just didn't seem the thing to do...probably tomorrow...

My house is spotless ...haha the housekeeper just left...can't even take credit for that one but have gotten some chores in so I'm thinking tomorrow at the gym...

I'm eating good and I weighed in at 150.8 this morning so hopefully soon I will hit that long awaited 149 mark....of course that's not the end...just a milestone...I'm only 5'2" so 149 is still too heavy...But life is good at the moment so I'll just keep on keeping on...My DD is coming in for a visit this weekend but she is watching her weight too so eating shouldn't be an issue...Stay on program ladies...

I have never tracked my points on a daily basis on CORE. I probably should -- my weight loss has really slowed down in the last 6 weeks. But I did lose 2.4 lbs this week. My typical daily menu -- Breakfast steel cut oatmeal w/ 2 Tbsp. raisins and 1/2 c milk Snack Apple or banana Lunch 2 eggs scrambled with mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, spinach and FF cheddar cheese Fresh fruit or Large toss salad with turkey or smoked salmon -- lots of veggies --- FF dressing with blue cheese tossed over it Afternoon snack - more fruit or carrots --sometimes, I eat one serving of FF/SF pudding here to get past the chocolate cravings. Supper WW pasta with variety of sauces -- maybe with beef, shrimp or chicken or Grilled meat with roasted potatoes and salad and veggie or Soup with salad or a sandwich on 1 pt bread (always fill the sandwich with lots of goodies --spinach, roasted red-pepper strips, cukes, FF cheese) Snack Popcorn or WW ice cream treat I use most of my 35 extra pts on dried fruit,cheese,nuts (love almonds!) wine and the occasional slice of bread or English muffin. We try lots of the WW recipes -- just got the new Comfort food cookbook. Looks good to this midwest farm girl! Not a lot of pure CORE recipes but some can be used with simple changes -- like whole wheat pasta or FF cheese. and some things -- I'll just count into my pts. I don't have the patience to count points and since I am a bit of a health food nut (we can all our own veggies and fruits --over 500 jars a year) and buy all of our meat from local organic farmers........... CORE works well for me. But you have to "shake it up" -- If you eat grilled chicken everyday for supper and a salad everday for lunch -- you will get bored quick. Cathy

FW, sounds like you are better, I'm glad to hear it. Sorry you needed surgery at all though! You sure made that burger sound great. :) LL - what a day you had - considering all that, I think you did pretty well! Am I the only one who does the flex plan? Do you ladies both do the core foods plan? I had a chicken quesadilla last night that normally would NOT be on anyone's plan, but I just gave it a whole bunch of points and added it to my list (and that ate up all my points for the rest of the day - pun intended). What I like best about that is that no food is bad, unless it puts me over my point allowance. I'm looking forward to a check-up with my doctor this morning. It's been 6 months since my last one, when she suggested I try WW. OK, so I've only been on WW the last 2.5 weeks, but I've lost 5 pounds, and I think maybe in the other 5 plus months prior to WW I may have dropped 3-4 pounds... Just since WW though I wonder if the change in my eating habits will show up at all in the blood work that I had done. I hope so. Hey, welcome VIG! Sounds like you're in Northern Calif - whereabouts? Good Morning :) WHEW!!! I am so pooped out with all of the fun things I have been doing lately~~~I really live a boring, quiet life, but lately WHEW!!!! My DD and I had a great time in Santa Barbara at her swim meet~~~ages 18-80!! Seeing the older gals in swim suits and having so much fun and looking so healthy is really inspiring!! They all have such good body image, in the dressing rooms walking around in different stages of their nakeness, not sure I feel that good about my body:( I want to tho:) My weigh in was good, I am down another 1.2 pounds?? How can that be?? I ate so off the program last week with my visitors and all:( I did eat breakfast and lunch good, and when we whipped out the snacks I never ate like I would have before WW's:) As I was driving away from my meeting I was thinking WOW how much junk and extra calories I must have been eating in the last few years to be carrying so much extra weight!!! I am down 22.5 pounds YAHOOO!!! I feel so great!! Down about 4-5 more pounds than I even planned on:) AND the best part is I do not even feel like I have been dieting, just eating healthy!! I just hope I can keep it up:) Since I do not feel hungy or deprived of any foods I think I should be able too eh??? I have two vacations planned one at the end of July with my DH going up to Tahoe~~~two days after we get back from there my DD and I are leaving for a world swim meet in Palo Alto Cali @ Stanford U~~~we will be there for 4days and 3nights then on to San Francisco for 3nights:) That my diet friends will be the big test!! If I get through all of those days eating out and all of the temptations of vacationing I will know forsure I have made a lifestyle change:) I did not make it to CRUVES at all last week, except to weigh in, my pre weigh in before going to WW's for my weigh in LOL!!! But, I was walking and running around everyday so I guess that has to count. I will get back on track tomorrow:)

LIFER HERE!!!! I was a bit nervous about my weigh in. At my CURVES pre weigh in I was up~~WW's scales weigh less but I still had gained 1.5 pounds on the WW's scales as compared to last Friday. BUT it was still less than my goal weight so I will not beat myself up for that!! I went into this just wanting to get anywhere under 150, so 143.5 is not bad!! I did not get another charm for my key chain, they give you a lifer memebership card:( I wanted a charm LOL!! But, my WW's leader gave me flowers:) I was so surprised and a very nice framed quote to help you stay on task:) She really is a sweatheart! I know she has to pay for them herself, so that makes it extra special. She had me come up and tell everyone what I liked about the plan and what I did that helped me make it work:) I do Core and she had me talk about why I chose that since most folks do not do it. I thought I was done and she said NO there is one more thing you did that worked best for you?? I could not think of it and the other gals were trying to help me think too:) Finally she says 'you never missed a meeting' YES!! That is true and it did help alot! She wanted the others to know how important that is:) As I was leaving I went to chat with the receptionist (a man who has lost 66lbs) he told me I should apply for a job with WW's, the leader talked to me about that too~~~I would maybe do the weigh ins (receptionist). But, never a leader you have to know too much:) I wonder how much they pay and how often you do it? I already have a 10-2 job during the school year do I want more?? Not really but then I thought maybe that would be good for me to help keep my weight off. What do you think?? It was 107 here yesterday and is going to be hotter today how can that be?????? WC what is it like up in your area??? I am going to be in Frisco in a couple of weeks and up in Santa Cruz also. Is it going to be cooler for me?? I want it alot cooler???? WC have you ever been to Half Moon Bay?? I am reading a book that part of it takes place there?? I think I will have my DH drive through it just so I can say I was there:)

Ruthie you are doing very good!!! You will get there before you know it. Yes, it is best not to stress your body out when you are sick esp with sweaty ole exercise.

WC where are you????

How is the weather where each of you are?? Triple digets everyday:(

I read that earlier WC...hope it isn't anything really serious and is just a pulled muscle or cramp ...I am always nervous about blood clots and really believe in moving those legs around when you get my age...

That's what is so scary Ruthie. I do move my legs alot. I walk, I figure skate. My legs are the strongest part of my body. I've never had problems like others do with my knees or balance or stability. My legs are like tree trunks.LOL That's why I am so upset with the doctor not paying any heed to what I said. I know how to work out cramps and strains. He just undermined my feelings and knowledge about my own body completely.

Great job on your progress. I have always gotten stuck 150, 140 etc. Don't know why but it always seems you have to work twice as hard to get to the next level. Then suddenly you lose an easy 3 lbs the next week.

I weighed in this morning at .....TA DA.....150.8...LOL same as yesterday...that door to 149 is locked tight....

Bummer......well I have a workout at the gym this morning so maybe that will be the push to some loss...funny I always complain about a lost of two or three tenths of a pound...this moring it would have made me smile...Don't worry about me though...I'm good to go...no wringing my hands and pigging out...just gonna keep on ...

Wild child, I am so very sorry to hear your tale of woe. How maddening to be treated like that by the doc!

She posted at the KT some good news ...I won't spoil her post but it is there or I am sure she will be back to report here but she is not nearly as concerned now after a second opinion.

WC I read your HAPPY post at the KT! Glad you went to the ER and everything turned out well!! YUP! I think alot of Dr's are not very good at listening!!

I stayed on program very well these last two days:) I have even been keeping track of my points. I will have to go and see how many points my 2 soon to be 3 glasses of white wine are:( I went to my quilting guild last night, my pal and I met at a local shopping center we leave one car. la It was mine and some one hit it:( My back fender on the driver side:( BOO HOO!!! I never even noticed it last night my son came in this morning and asked me about it~~~and of course my DH had a BIG OLE COW!!! SHEESH!! I have had some of the oddest accidents in my vans in the last few years. They are so odd that my DH does not even believe what I say:( Once a pitch fork flew at me on the main blvd here and crashed into the front end of my van~~~HONEST!! My DH is a cop so he goes right into cop mode when soemthing happens and forgets we are family:( So that is why LunchLady will be having 3 glasses of wine tonight :)

Gotta go I am doing too many typos

Yep I'm back. I did have a completely opposite experience at the ER. Everyone from start to finish was so supportive and helpful.

I have to avoid exercise for a while and gradually build up. They said it could take up to 4 weeks. Guess I just have to try and maintain for now or count on losing a bit less weight for now.
