HELLO! I had a busy weekend! Picked up my 14-year old charge on Saturday afternoon. Planned meals for the week's dinners. Made sun tea. Lounged around with my sick husband - I think he has strep throat - he won't go to the doc... And cleaned up and reorganized some of my kitchen and pantry. Not bad for an old lady. I really wanted to go on a bike ride, but I didn't get motivated enough. Thursday, I am leaving on 3-day get-a-way for Mom's weekend at my DD's college. I am so excited about it. LONG DRIVE through the Washington Palouse. AHHHHHHH... MY MUSIC, MY TIMELINE, YEAH! I get to go to her classes on Friday and the college has all kinds of activities planned for the Mom and DDs. Check in! HUGS and MORE HUGS to all who need them!

Hi, I've just reported the abuse on this forum with the drug adverts. Please feel free to do the same. Wildchicken I've never been there, nor heard of it before. Just checked your link and wikipedia. Beautiful. Enjoy your break. It was a pissy, rainy day so DH said let's get in the car and go to Ottawa for the day. We did. Closed a bank account we used to have for our mortgage. It had a nice chunk of change left to pay for DH's wood order to make the decking outside, part of the kitchen cupboards and I treated myself to 400ft worth of deer net fencing for my new veggie gardens to be cut in soon, some new garden tools. Stopped in at Value Village (major charity shop chain around here -Cerebral Palsy and Diabetis combined). For $84 got new winter boots for next year (they get wiped down with disinfecting cleaner, aired and sprayed with lysol just in case), a pair of jeans, 5 lovely summer tops, a lovely straw hat (bahamas - soon to be changed), a beautiful metal stand up spice rack, and brand new heavy duty rain jacket (boating?) for DH. He actually picked it out himself which surprised me. And he got 2 paperbacks to read while he gave me an hour to let my hair out in there. I had a blast. If I had have gone new retail that would only have been a pair of winter boots and his jacket on end of season sale prices. Amazing. Must say it's nice to buy jeans in the sizes I wore in high school. Waited 10 years to finally get back to this size. Well worth every mood swing, food fight with myself and drinking lots of iced water (yum). Wonderful afternoon too - we went to Lee Valley - woodworking/gardening place originally from Ottawa. DH got some needed tools for helping make the kitchen cupboards, I got some industrial strength garden tools, top of the line, heavily forged garden fork (I leave those in my gardening wake...I have to remember I'm not built with a winch and stop trying to use those forks to up-heave large roots and rocks. I'll nearly flung myself across a few backyards before the ash wood snapped. Sometimes I can be so stubborn and stupid at the same time. I still have the fork head from my last one, think I might paint RIP on it and just leave it stuck in my garden somewhere. Poor thing. Yup, feeling pretty good about myself. Oh yeah, I even got a couple of sewing patterns at the charity shop for pj night gown and a summer dress (I have a ton of fabric). Brand new from a nearby fabric store that must have cleared stock. How has your day been? All my love and hugs for those who need it - I have not forgotten anyone's struggles. I wish it were spring enough to plant some flowers to send mother nature's spirit of renewal right now. LOL

I posted a reply to each of the SPAM links. That way, they'll move down if no one else posts to them. Each post has to get a reply before it will move DOWN the board. In the meantime, we can complain by reporting and asking them to BAN Amerikoss from the boards!

How do we go about reporting them? I tried but not sure I succeeded. It is pretty disgusting

Good Tuesday! Rainy and gloomy here but spring is in the air. BJ, the Palouse looks amazing! Wow, what a place to be able to see. Your mom's weekend sounds fun! Are you on FB? Peggy, I will be potting up my tomato seedlings today. Cannot even think of planting outside until the end of May. Jan, I am thinking of you. Carolyn, check in we are thinking of you too.

(((((((((((HUGGLES)))))))))))) to all facing hardships. NHSuzanne~ The Palouse IS amazing! It is miles and miles of beautiful rolling golden and green hills. I love to turn up my favorite mellow music, roll down the windows of my truck,a nd just let the wind blow through my hair as I drive and enjoy the scenery. There is never any traffic in The Palouse so I have the whole place to myself. It is just so relaxing for me. On your other question: I had a FB at one time, but I spent a little more time than I was comfortable on it and then someone hacked it, so I closed it. I am thinking about trying it again tho'...this summer, I am traveling to an old hometown to spread my Dad's ashes and was thinking of trying to look up old elementary school friends. Do YOU have a FB? Peg! Sounds like you made a killing at Value Village. We go to a Value Village Super Store on the mainland about once every 2 years - I love it and can't believe the deals! I was thinking about your broken pitchfork. I remember seeing a coat rack made out of a broken rake...the guy sawed off the broken part of the handle, painted it, and attached it to the wall with the prongs facing out- it made a very cook coat rack! Ivamae! Good to "see" you! The spam is gone today - thank heavens! (((((HUGS))))), brave woman! Okay, gotta get back to WORK!

| BJ - I agree the Palouse is gorgeous and I wish I was riding with you. How is it going with the 14 year old. If I don't post before Thursday, have an awesome trip and time with DD. McPeg - You are always up to something, sounds like those garden tools will be put to the test. Ivamae - thinking of you always. Thanks to all that reported the spam. Suzanne - day 2 of rain and gloom here. It is better than the snow it started off with yesterday. Jan - thinking of you and DH. Maddie - I know your workload is crazy right now, sending positive vibes for some sanity. Marci - You must be counting down the days. This gloom is making me tired, so I better get moving before I fall asleep.

Good Wednesday! I too wish I were cruising through the Palouse with BJ and Raeanne! The photos are so stunningly beautiful. Raeanne, I hear you on the gloom! Sounds like better weather is coming eventually. This morning looks sunny for a while anyway. Now for some warmth! Yesterday I potted up my tomato seedlings and the smell of the soil was lovely! Only two more months before I can actually plant them outside!! Today I am going to try to find some neat things for my little goats to climb on outside. They are still too little to go live in the barn so they play out in the backyard. They are so cute! Where is everyone???
|
Good Thursday all, BJ, have a great weekend. Take photos of the Palouse if you can. Today will be sunny and warm....ah... I can hardly wait. It's still 33 degrees here! Where is everyone?? (echo, echo, echo)

Good afternoon from sunny, windy, and warm Dallas! It's already 73 with a high of 84 expected. I hate the thought of turning on the a/c! Suzanne, I couldn't let you post alone 2 days in a row, so here I am! I've been so lazy lately, but I read and caught up with all your animals and their cute pics. Love them! Jan, sending healing prayers for your dh and comforting ones for you! Dee, you're working too hard. When do you plan to retire? You're going to be an awesome retiree! BJ, you're on your way to Moms weekend, I'm sure. I know you're really enjoying that beautiful drive there. Have a wonderful weekend! Ivamae, thinking of you and hoping the best for you! Maddie, sorry about how Roger's acting. Ugh! Raeanne, are you getting excited about your Girls' weekend? Patti, congrats on the move! Nothing much going on here. I'm a real homebody anymore, but I really don't mind it. It's a big change from my old way of living, but it's all good!

Hello everyone! It's amazing I found 5 minutes to log onto here...it takes forever. Work has me completely swamped, but I know I am luckier than most so I will try not to complain. [[[[BIG HUGS]]]]] to everyone going through hard times. Still awaiting spring weather so my neighbor and I can get out and walk around the lake again in the early morning hours. Taking 3 Zumba classes and really enjoying them. Next week I get the sleep study results (tho I did not actually REM sleep during the night). I want to start feeling better. I read somewhere that the leg swelling may be caused by the apnea...interesting. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend. Our friends from SC are coming up and will meet us for dinner at the great Mexican place near NYC. On Sunday we have some plans to meet with some other friends. In between, I have our big master suite closet that I need to go through. Only have 1 bag for charity, and I need at least 3 more! Take care!
