Marci! You scared me with this gif this morning!! I thought it was Easter this weekend or something! Whew!!

Marici, I love those cute gifs! I'm also glad it's not Easter weekend; I just do NOT have the time. LOL

Suzanne, glad you are taking in all that wonderful H2O!!! Stay off the caffeine and relax with a cup of decaf. Things will work out for you.

Please hold some positive thoughts for my DH and family. His uncle passed away yesterday. The man was remarkable to say the least. He has been crippled with Lou Gehrigs (sp?) disease for over 20 years; living the same way as Christopher Reeve. However, there has not been a time when I have not seen him smile, or beg to have a baby put on his lap, or inquire about someone else's health. He was always one of the first to accept an invitation---anywhere. We always remembered to have electricity for Uncle Steve's chair. In the end, it was a cancerous tumor that took his life---ironic, because the doctors were so amazed that he lived so long. His wife took such good care of him (at home!) for all those years; never even a bedsore! An amazing family and I will miss him and the inspiration he gave me and DH. So instead of being sad (as I was last night), I've decided to celebrate his life by sharing his life with all of you! A hard-working, compassionate wife, three successful children, four lovely grandchildren, and a legacy that life is what you make it!!!!!

Good Morning! No hubba Bubba BUT I woke up to a really wonderful letter from my SO. He talked about how far we have come from our first meeting and how he loves me with all his heart. He had gotten up and cut up a bowl of fresh fruit and let it on the kitchen table with this wonderful letter. GREAT way to start the day. He had sent the most beautiful roses to my office on Friday. What I think happened is we watched Oprah the night before and her show was about the most romantic men. It must have inspired him. I feel pretty special. Now I am pissed at the DEX ( Still a swear word ). He told my DD that he was planning something special for V-day...BUT nothing happened...no phone call, email..nothing...ARRGGHHH...I hate to see her disappointmednt NHSuzanne: I hope I didn't make you feel bad by my last post. I am glad you are taking charge of all of us getting together. I am like you...and I just take charge on a lot of things...so charge away... BJ: I have been doing the same thing with cleaning. DD practices softball next to a charity store and so I made a vow to take something in there EVERY TIME we go to practice. Little by little I am declutting althought I would LOVE to have TLC's Clean Sweep come in. Our basement is a cluttered mess. I would love to turn it into an exercise room. When I was dropping off donations, I noticed a Bally Lifestepper for sale there for 35.00. I was going to get it on my next trip...BUT it was gone. Probably good because I don't know if I need another piece of equipment in the house. Raeanne: Believe it or not...I received an invitation to a wedding in LA for July 23rd. We don't know if we are going but I will keep you posted. I hope that you will be in Chicago for more than a day or so. So we shall see. IS your DD still thinking about San Diego?? Besh: I hope things are better with your DFIL and that you are happy that DH is home with you and your kids. Marci: My kids gave me another Jodi Picoult book for my birthday. This one is Picture Perfect. Let me know if you would like to read it when I am done. Patti: I FINALLY sent the books off to you last week. Keep your eye out for them. I hope you and Dave are feeling well. I wish I was closer so that I could help. I don't know if I said that I was going to San Francisco for a few days. I am going to a convention for people who use Photoshop software. It is a huge event that happens twice a year. My boss is sending me there for fun to commerate my five years with her company. SO is coming with me and going to the convention too. We are staying at the very cool hotel in the art district of downtown SF. My mom is coming up from Atlanta to take care of my DD while we are gone. She is very excited and so is DD. She loves her Grandma and says she is a lot of fun. SO and I both love SF so we are very excited to go and have a mini vacation. I went and saw my best friend who was diagnosed with Breast cancer in December. They removed both breasts because of the type of cancer they discovered she had. She had the surgery last week. I was up at her home to set up her DSL service. She was very silly from all the meds they have her taking. Her DH is a trooper because she is a handful. She said she was sad because of all the people who want to help her family. She isn't used to being on the receiving end of help. She was off to get her hair frosted one more time before she loses it. She will have to have both chemo and radiation. It is so hard to watch her knowing what lies ahead. She has not lost her sense of humor though...when my daughter asked how she was feeling, she said "Just a little flat!" She then proceeded to tell my DD that "for once in our lives, my boobs are smaller than your moms!" LOLOL Well I am off...SO and I are looking at getting a new stove ( YIPPEEE ) We have had two hand me downs and I am begging for a new one that cooks evenly for a change. We are also looking at getting new family room furniture. Wooo Hooo I love getting new things Have a great day!

Rabbit Rabbit - one day I will be the first! Happy August, can you believe it?? Happy Birthday John - hope it was fabulous! Check in, we miss you!! QOD #1: I am the biggest klutz you will ever meet. I am always sporting large and strange bruises that I have no idea where they came from. I can trip over absolutely nothing. QOD: Going in to work to try and catch up, it's been totally crazy and I am overwhelmed and behind. I hate both of those feelings. Raeanne, I am so thrilled about your artwork. I can't wait to see the pictures when Marci posts them. We had some very fierce rip tides a week or two back, many people at the beach in distress. So many don't understand and respect that ocean. Suzanne, glad you are out of your funk. I'm glad you remembered Raeanne's words - they are great. I offered no help at all did I? I hate feeling that way. I will check out that polenta recipe, I love polenta. Dee, it's tough cleaning out your childhood home. It was different than your circumstances but when my parents moved 8 years ago I had to help them do it and it was difficult. ((Hugs)) I thought that stupid separating recycling was Jersey thing too. Enjoy the shore - we locals know those who aren't because they always refer to it as the "shore" which we never do :-) A guy from PA that I dated moved to NJ and asked me how he could not be identified as a "shoobie." I told him for starters stop calling the beach and the area the shore. Seriously, have a great time, I think most of the weekend is supposed to be nice. Peg, enjoy your long weekend. My American calendar only tells me it's a Canadian civic holiday - is there more to it? You are a good person to help out your friend, I know he appreciates it. A co-worker today gave me a humungous zucchini - any suggestions on how to prepare it? I adore zucchini but am interested in something different...any and all suggestions welcome! I want to have it tomorrow night, we are grilling a gorgeous steak. Milkdud, you are doing so well with your weight and your working out, I admire you. Gretchen~Thanks. It isn't a question at all. Please send it to Marci first. I still have some catching up to do! :) Congrats to DD. NH Suzanne~I may have said this before but FL drs. on a whole, do not believe in CFIDS or Fibromyalgia although they are recognized in the Armed Services, SS, WHO, CDC, the USPS, etc. So, that is why I travel so far. It is fun to go look for dolphins though so I enjoy that part & we really have the best therapist & psychiatrist there too. If we had the money, we would move over there in a heart beat, I think. Susie~Have a great time. Amy~WTG on writing the book. Perhaps we will both be authors one day. Jen~Sorry about the illnesses you & the girls have had. [[[[ H U G S ]]]] BJ~What movie did you go see? NH Suzanne - Don't hyperventilate LOL. A ride on SP this weekend will de-stress you! I think that should be Dr.'s orders for you.

I gotta go, had some computer training this AM (my day off) and now I have a much overdue manicure - the girl is going to LOL when she gets a look at my hands.

I have to pack tonight, because tomorrow will be a busy day for me.

Raeanne, I will try to take your advice doc LOL but it ain't going to be easy. My day has been filled with rejections that I won't recognize yes when I hear it! It's been a strange month for eveyone here so I don't feel totally alone. It's hard to predict why. I hope you have a marvelous time. You certainly are getting around these days.

BJ, I need to hear from you too and get your address................give us a shout woman!!

Hi Everyone: Wow, thought I'd slept through Easter when I checked in.

Wow, so much happening in everyone's lives - trips, business's to buy - exciting times.

No news here, same old, same old. This is when I'm glad I don't own a gun, DH is driving me insane. Either the weather needs to break so he can golf, or he really has to find a job soon, or I'm sending him to my brother in Florida.

Going to my second funeral in 10 days. Seems all my old school friends Mom's are passing on. They are all in the 80-85 year bracket and it does seem to go in waves.

Terrible way to keep in touch with old friends.

Jen, good luck fitting into those pants. I'm holding out buying anything new until I make sure that this is the real thing! I was desparately in need of new clothes last summer, so if I'm a wee bit smaller, it will be great fun shopping!

Gotta run to a meeting. Tonight and tomorrow, DH and I will be busy with wakes and funeral.

I am here Maddie. I have no idea where everyone has been. Seems strange not to hear from anyone over the weekend!

I was enjoying the spring weather with Sweet Pea yesterday and boy does she have spring fever!! Her trot had a few little bucks in them as if to say WOO HOO!!!

I'm here, but I am mired in taxes!! I spent the day yesterday researching and buying a new printer and today I am doing my taxes. State is done, local is done and I am taking a break from Federal.

It is beautiful here today. I DON'T want to be indoors doing paper work all day, but I needed a break. If I can get done before lunch, I will have the rest of the day to play. (After I finish laundry, pay bills and straighten up! LOL)

I bought a Winsor Pilates tape and mat yesterday. I have been having back aches lately and someone at Curves suggested Pilates. I know my aches are from bending over little ones all day. Some days I feel like I just can't straighten up. I am hoping that Pilates helps.

My new printer is a MFP - a scanner, a copier and a printer all in one. I printed out some pictures I had taken on my digital camera and they came out great. I needed to make a copy of a receipt for a rebate and voila - I had a copy. I have to play around with scanning photos now and see how that works. I think I got a great deal for my $$$.

(((HUGS))) for all those that need them. I know I missed some important events last week, but I just don't know where the time went. I was never so glad to see Friday come. The kids were wound up, we had a sub all week for Beth and I just didn't feel up to par. I am hoping that this week gets off to a better start.

I think we all should have gone with Raeanne to Cancun!!! I could use some R&R.

Now I have to hang up a load of laundry and locate some papers for taxes.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Yesterday, we were at the funeral and repast, so I had no time to even check my e;mails.

Hope everyone is ready for Monday! I'm enjoying some sun here in 'Jersey. We finally got to take down the holiday lights off the house! Most of the neighbors were outside doing the same thing...it's finally warm enough for DH to get up on the roof!

Amy, good to see you post.

BJ, hope you are with us again soon!

Raeanne, hope you are enjoying the first of many cool drinks by the water while I'm writing this. LOL
Wish me luck...DH agreed to speak with the house painter I called. He's coming tomorrow evening...I think he's gonna agree to have it done professionally. That's not all...I'm on the computer to find the phone number of a landscaper that our neighbor just gave us. DH is biting the bullet and farming this chore out also. Happy days!!!!
