I know all about emotional eating, I think I am your Queen :) I am a worry wart~~~it is my resolution to put a stop to it, I can not control things so why worry about it:( It is very hard for me:( DLily congrats on your weight loss!! My DD and her family go to the Y all of the time she does yoga there and one class that is yoplaties (may have spelled it wrong. She loves it! TK I agree with you on focusing on a few things at a time. Breaking it down into small goals makes it easier for me too. YAHOO!!! I have lost 2lbs so far this week:) Just cutting out junk and salt gives me a quick 2 pound loss everytime~~~so why do I eat that junk??? Now I need to melt off 3-4 more pounds before the end of the month so when I do my January WI I will be within two pounds of my goal weight if I am lucky maybe even at goal and not have to pay! I also have an appt at CURVES tomorrow to learn the advanced workout and see if it is for me. I love CURVES but I need to step it up~~I would rather step it up there than have to go find another form of exercise to add to it. Garden Veggie Soup 2/3 cup sliced carrots 1/2 cup diced onion 2 garlic cloves minced 3 cups fat-free broth (beef chicken or veggie) 1/2 cup green beans 1 tbl tomato paste 1/2 tsp dried oregano 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup diced zucchini 1 1/2 cups cabbage diced 1. In lg saucepan spray with nonstick cooking spray, saute the carrots, onion, and garlic over low heat until softened, about 5 min. 2. Add broth, cabbage, beans, tomato paste, basil, oregano and salt~bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer covered, about 15 min until beans are tender. 3. Stir in zucchini and heat 3-4 mins. Makes 4 1 cup servings per serving~42 calories 0 gr fat 2 gr fiber 0 points per serving I was a little hit and miss with it since I forgot to bring the recipe to the grocery with me~~but it is simple just add what veggies you want. I am having it again tonight with chicken and I added canned tomatoes. I had it last night too with grd turkey meat.

I might want some:) How can you count 0 pts in with the 35 if they are 0??? Good for you and your DH doing this together must make it alot easier for you. I like Core best I have always eaten all of the Core foods anyway, I wanted to do Flex for awhile to get some weight off faster or so I thought~~~but I have trouble since I have done Core for almost a year now (March 1st it will be 1 year). I think I will just do Core and that will keep me from switching almost daily back and forth which is a no no! I am still having trouble getting the water down in the winter and how do you all get in your dairy??? I have about 1/4 of milk with my oatmeal unless I have berries in it then I have none~~and I try to remember to eat a thingie of string chesse for a snack at work. I did run to a shop and bought some soy yogurt and I will try that. Milk products make me ill:( What about the oil?? I never use oil except for salad dressing and I always use fat free?? How improtant is it to get all of that in your daily diet???

So this has become the RuthieG thread and I alone post here and can now call it my personal blog...so this time of year it is hotter than hades in our part of Texas...no one goes outside except back and forth to the air conditioned car...I will be heading out to the gym again today .....if someone would just turn off the danged heat it would help...I haven't lost anymore but I havent been bad with my eating ...my body seems to want to hang at 150 and that's too heavy.... Something really nice happened yesterday...stopped by the local plant shop where one of my neighbors works and she said "Hey girl" and then she said..Oh My God what has happened to the rest of you...you are disappearing...LOL I love it when people notice that I have shed these danged pounds....Makes all the hard work worthwhile.. ...Have a good day Ladies...eat well and exercise...I really believe that exercise is the key to successful weight loss.

Welcome Perkladd~~do you go to meetings or do it online??? I lost 22lbs on weight watchers and became a Lifetime member last month~~~but with vacationing and all I gained a few back:( I will be going for my monthly weigh in tomorrow night, I have my fingers crossed not sure what they do to you if you are over your goal~~I think I am just at my goal or maybe a pound over. I think you can be 2 pounds over and be OK. We shall see I did track all of my food yesterday :) I am doing Flex for a couple of weeks to get back on track then will go back to my beloved Core Plan. Ruthie how are you this week?? WC what's up with you??? Opening day of school was OK, really my worst one in several years:( Just computer troubles and paperwork~~my printer is so slow it really hangs me up and our computer gal said it is set right?? I do not really believe her:( But, we got all of the kids feed and they seemed to be happy to be back:) Does anyone use a pedometer to track their steps?? I bought one a few years ago, but took it back I could never get it to work right?? Now I am thinking it was working fine I just was not doing enough steps even tho I thought in my line of work I was doing thousands a day:) I am going to get another one and am just wonder if you all have one what brand is it??
