Help with counting veggies

Posted by sugar_fl (My Page) on

I have in the past done both Weight Watchers & counting calories. I know with WW you don't have to count simple veggies that are steamed. Right now I am counting calories & don't know if I should count calories in veggies. I am trying to stay within the 1000-1200 calorie range. What do U do?
Thanks,
Dar

Sugar,

Anything under 1200 calories is considered a starvation diet. It can actually backfire and cause your metabolism to slow down. Best to try and keep it around 1200 calories.

I would probably count the calories of the veggies. I don't understand why they wouldn't count (I'm not being sarcastic, maybe a little ignorant. If I'm wrong please correct me).

Booberry,
I was also wondering about not counting veggies in WW. I guess their thinkings is since they do fiber - fat to figure points there wasn't enough to worry about. I Have been counting them but didn't in WW.
Thanks for the answer.
Dar
