| My dh wants me to make some divinty and i have nevey made it before. My mom use to make it all the time at christmas. And it was always it seem lite and fluffy. And it was like snow white can anyone help me out here.

| This was the recipe my mother made every Christmas. I've never made it, though. DIVINITY Put the sugar, water & corn syrup into a saucepan. Stir it while it dissolves over the fire, then let it boil without stirring to the light crack stage (265°.) While it is cooking, beat the whites of eggs stiffly & when the syrup is ready pour it over them, beating constantly. Beat until creamy, add nuts, cherries & extract & pour into buttered tins.~~ |
