RECIPE: Rainbow Poke Cake In Bundt pan

Posted by mboston (My Page) on

I found an old recipe that used red and green jello in a two layer cake. I want to use the recipe but would it work if I made the cake in a bundt pan and poked holes, using just one color of jello. Would I be able to get the cake out of the bundt pan easily. I am not good at icing layer cakes and I wanted something for Christmas that looked fancier than just a sheet cake.

I've made the Poke Cakes for years but don't think it would come out of a bundt pan very easily. Making the layers is very easy and the cool whip covers any mistakes you might make. I never make other layer cakes either.

Since no one responded before I had to bake something, I decided to go with a red velvet cake in th bundt pan. It ended up being a good choice. But I think I will do a sheet cake with the jello recipe over the holidays. It is easy to do that way. Thanks for your advice.
