I have made this cake for years and people love it. I thought since you folks are so nice, I would share.
Here goes:
Crusty Cream Cheese Pound Cake
6 large eggs
2 sticks butter or 1/2 marg.
1/2 cup crisco
1 8-oz. package cream cheese, softened (I use 1/3 light)
1 Tlbs. vanilla, I add other flavoring too
3 cups cake flour
3 cups sugar

Preheat oven to 325.
Beat butter and crisco together with stand mixer until creamy.
Add sugar a little at a time.
Add cream cheese and beat until fluffy.
Alternately add flour and eggs, beginning and ending with flour. Grease and flour a bundt cake pan or regular pound cake pan. Bake at 325 for one hour and 15 minutes. Let cake cool in pan for 15 minutes. This cake makes a crust on the top.
Side note: I use vanilla, lemon, and almond in mine.
You can freeze this cake and it makes a great gift.

Hope you enjoy.
Carla
