RECIPE: Molasses Mints

When I was a little girl, there was a store in Seattle called Frederick and Nelson's. They made a candy called Molasses Mints. The candy was chewey and covered in chocolate. I'm looking for this recipe or a simlar one. Can anyone help me? TIA!

Was it sort of like taffy? This one has pecans but you could omit them.
