| Can you get cream cheese there, Lisa? Or do they have a great similar kind of product? |

| I can get cream cheese here. It is pretty expensive. I wouldn't make a cheesecake out of it. I can also use Quark if I let it drain in cheesecloth a couple of hours. Quark is what is called for in the German cheesecake recipes. Lisa |

| Wish we could get Quark here, Lisa-I really liked the German cheesecake-lovely and light and not as sweet as what we make. In the German Conversation Class that I took, we had a night when we all brought different things to eat and the instructor taught us the German names. She also brought two dips-one was Quark and Onion Soup mix, the other was Quark mixed with cherry pie filling. Lisa, if you have never tried the latter, it is delicious. RL` |

| Does quark taste similar to yogurt or yogurt cheese? I saw it in England but didn't get any to taste. |
|
| I think Quark is creamier than that yogurt we get here and no,not like the yogurt cheese. I really like it. Actually, I wish we could get the European yogurt here-it is very good on cereal. RL` |

| So it's not sort of tangy like yogurt? |
|
| The tang is comparable but it "pours" and the taste is just smoother. RL` |

| Hmmm, that is strange. Two different opinions here. I find the quark "tang" comparable as Roselin says, but the quark texture I don't like alone in dips. I temper it with yogurt when I use it to make a dip. The quark alone leaves an after taste that I just don't care for. In cooking it is fine, but just to flavor and use as a dip, I don't care for it.
