RECIPE: Frosting question

I'm trying to make a frosting of such a consistency that it can basically be peeled off of a cake. I've come across such things occasionally on cakes purchased from a store, but don't know how to create such a frosting myself. A traditional buttercream doesn't work.

Any thoughts?
