| I used to make a fresh apple cake where you diced up fresh apple and added it to flour, sugar, oil and I think cinnamon. There were possibly other ingredients, but when the batter was mixed, it was real thick. It was a very good cake and I have lost the recipe. Does anyone have the recipe and would you care to share? Thanks! |

| This is the apple cake recipe my family asks for the most. It has the very thick batter you are looking for. It tastes great and keeps very well. 3 cups all-purpose flour Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray w/Pam 2- 8" square cake pans, set aside. In a large bowl with a mixer on low speed, add first 8 ingredients scraping bowl frequently till mixed well. STIR in apples and raisins. Divide the batter between the 2 pans equally. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on wire racks. Sprinkle with powdered before serving. This cake can be cut into bars or squares or served as a whole cake. Enjoy! NancyLouise |
